I don’t want to be misunderstood or even banned, but:
I had insulin resistance and abdominal obesity (a year ago). IR was measured as twice as normal. At that time I did not know that.
Later I started to eat lots of candies and other high-sugar sweeties. I could eat up to 0.5 kg of them with black tea during the evening! I did not know how much my blood glucose were at that point.
I continued to eat all those sweets for a week or so.
Finally, I got those symptoms that type 1 diabetics usually describe! I had polyuria at night (2-3 times!), polydipsia after. I left at home for a week because I suspected some infection like flu. But then everything went fine by itself! After a few days I recovered and what is the main point of all of this: I lost 10 kg in a week!!!!! That was fat — I can tell it for sure, I have a device which calculates bone/fat/water content in the body. And it cleary indicated I lost fat!
So, can this method be recommended for someone who is overweight and has prediabetes? I would call it ‘sugar-induced ketosis and weight loss’. Yes :)-Paleo Diet hacks: An extraordinary way to lose weight fast (but it is dangerous!!!) - PaleoHacks.com
